A Walk in the Park

People who originally grew up in Central NY and eventually, due to new job opportunities, or escaping from the neverending lake-effect snowfalls, the “bitter cold”, and tons of road salt, moved to warmer climes, will invariably tell you that, despite the friends and family they may have left behind, what they miss the most is Fall.
Even though this season is the eventual wakeup call that Summer is indeed over and the harbinger of another approaching Winter, we curse those days filled with cold leaf dropping rain and relish those intermittent sunny, cloud-filled skies when the temperatures in the mid 50’s are called warm and fail to recall that a 50 degree day in July was unbearably cold. Perhaps we are only caught up in the nostalgia of it all, but it sure is beautiful.
